For the purposes of this course history is the record of God’s activity in, through, and with His creation. Within in this broad scope are various areas of study: political, sociological, geographical, and theological (spiritual). This course will deal specifically with the spiritual History of God’s people from birth of Jesus to today. For this course we will define the church as the environment in which various people at various times expressed faith in Jesus the Christ. This definition allows for an examination of several movements which today might not be qualified as “Church”.
